Housing Scheme

Home Ownership Scheme (HOS)
A subsidised sale-flat programme that helps lower-to-middle-income families buy their own homes at below-market prices.
Public Rental Housing (PRH)
Government-subsidised rental flats provided by the Hong Kong Housing Authority for low-income families and eligible applicants.

Housing Policy

Loan-to-Value Ratio (LTV)
The proportion of a property's value that a bank is willing to lend, expressed as a percentage. Lower LTV limits require larger deposits.

Households whose income exceeds the eligibility limits for public housing subsidies but who cannot afford private housing in the open market.
